Parent Resources

Welcome to the Parent Resources hub for ABC Montessori in beautiful Jupiter Farms! We’re here to support your family every step of the way—whether you’re a first-time parent or a seasoned pro juggling multiple little ones. Here, you’ll find helpful information about our school.

We're open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Families choose the schedule that fits them: a half day ending at 12:30 p.m., a school day ending at 2:30 p.m., or a full day ending at 4:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Three-day and five-day-per-week options are available for every program.

We're located at 17963 103rd Terrace North, Jupiter, Florida 33478, on a five-acre campus in Jupiter Farms. We serve families from Jupiter Farms, Jupiter, Tequesta, Palm Beach Gardens, Loxahatchee, Hobe Sound, and the surrounding northern Palm Beach County area. Call (561) 575-9616 to schedule a tour.

We serve children from 24 months through age five. Our programs are Pre-Primary beginning at 24 months, Pre-Primary beginning at 30 months, Pre-K3 for three-year-olds, Pre-K4 for four-year-olds, and Florida VPK for eligible four- and five-year-olds.

Not for our 24-month Pre-Primary program; children that age are welcome whether or not they are potty trained. However, we only accept a limited number of children who are not potty trained, so please check availability with our Director. Children must be fully potty trained for the 30-month Pre-Primary program and for our Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and VPK programs.

Yes. We are an approved Florida VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) provider. VPK is funded by the State of Florida and is free to eligible children, offered four days per week from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. To qualify, a child must turn four on or before September 1 and have a Florida VPK certificate of eligibility from the Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County. Families who need longer days can add extended hours through 4:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.

Tuition depends on the program, the number of days per week, and the length of day you choose — half day, school day, or full day. Florida VPK is state-funded and free to eligible four-year-olds. Please call (561) 575-9616 or schedule a tour for a current tuition schedule for the program that fits your family.

Yes. We are a licensed child care facility regulated under the Florida Department of Children and Families Child Care Facility Handbook, with licensing administered locally by the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County. We also hold APPLE accreditation — the Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment program developed by the Florida Association for Child Care Management — and NAC accreditation from the National Accreditation Commission, which recognizes a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Our early literacy program pairs Montessori language materials with brief, individualized reading lessons — about five minutes of one-on-one instruction, five times each day. That short, frequent, personalized instruction, combined with hands-on materials and purposeful play, produces steady growth: the majority of our graduates have strong beginning reading skills before entering kindergarten, three-year-old students consistently test above Pre-K levels, and Pre-K students test beyond kindergarten and into early elementary ranges.

Children move through blocks of time in different prepared environments rather than staying in one room all day. A day includes Montessori lessons in the Rainforest, Ocean, and Garden rooms, individualized reading instruction, snack and lunch with table conversation and read-aloud, art, music on music days, and substantial outdoor time — the garden playground, the truck garden, the rock garden, and the outdoor kitchen, where children cook and explore in the fresh air. Every activity is tied to an early learning benchmark such as emergent literacy, language and comprehension, physical health, or social and emotional development.

Three things. A five-acre nature campus where outdoor learning — gardening, an outdoor play, open space to explore — is part of the daily program rather than an add-on. Genuinely individualized instruction, with small-group and one-on-one lessons and ongoing academic assessment so each child progresses at their own pace. And a calm, structured Montessori environment led by highly trained educators, where children build confidence without pressure. Families choose us because children leave more than kindergarten ready — they leave confident, capable, and already reading.

No. ABC Montessori of Jupiter Farms does not prepare, heat, or serve food. Parents supply all meals and beverages. Each child should bring a nutritionally balanced lunch in a bento-style lunch box and a water bottle, both permanently labeled with the child's name. This parent-supplied model also gives families with dietary needs or allergies full control over what their child eats.

We follow a written Allergy Management Plan covering food, insect-sting, medication, latex, and environmental allergies. Any child with a known allergy must have a physician-informed Emergency Care and Allergy Action Plan on file before their first day, reviewed at least annually. Children never share, trade, or taste one another's food; each child's food is labeled and kept separate; tables are cleaned before and after eating; and a current allergy list is posted discreetly in each classroom to protect privacy. Staff are trained to recognize the signs of a reaction, and only designated staff with documented medication training administer medication, which parents supply in its original labeled container. For a child with an insect-sting allergy, a trained staff member carries the epinephrine during outdoor play and walking trips.

Yes, with a signed Medication Authorization form completed before the first dose. Per Florida DCF requirements, medication must be supplied by the parent in its original labeled container, is given only by designated staff trained in proper administration, is dispensed according to the label, and is never shared between children. Every dose is recorded on a medication log. Sunscreen, diaper cream, and insect repellent may be applied with written parent permission.

Discipline is treated as a learning opportunity that helps children build self-control and social-emotional skills — never to embarrass, threaten, reject, or belittle a child. Staff set clear, age-appropriate expectations, model respectful behavior, use positive reinforcement, and calmly redirect when behavior is inappropriate. A supervised Calming Corner gives a child space to regroup. Discipline is never associated with food, rest, or toileting, and active play is never fully withheld. Corporal punishment and all forms of harsh or humiliating treatment are strictly prohibited. When a child struggles, we partner with parents early, document concerns, and work toward a consistent plan between home and school; removal from the program is a last resort used only after guidance and intervention have been attempted.

Start by calling (561) 575-9616 or drop by for a tour. To enroll, families complete the Child Care Application for Enrollment, selecting the program and days of the week, and acknowledge receipt of the  Handbook and required documentation, including a current physical examination (Form 3040) and immunization record (Form 680 or 681), as well as a Child Allergy and a Medication Authorization form if needed.
