Our goal is for children to leave ABC Montessori of Jupiter Farms confident, capable, and reading, and it comes down to something unglamorous and relentlessly consistent.

Every child gets brief, individualized reading instruction, roughly five minutes at a time, one-on-one with a teacher.

Five minutes is deliberate. A three-year-old's attention is a short, bright window; the trick is to work inside it rather than fight it. Short sessions stay a pleasure instead of becoming a chore. And because each one is one-on-one, the lesson meets that specific child exactly where they are.

Repeated across a day, a week, a school year, those five-minute sessions add up to something no group lesson can match.

Reading instruction alone isn't the whole story. It works because of what surrounds it.

Children learn through movement, exploration, repetition, and meaningful interaction, which is the way young minds naturally work. Montessori materials are built for exactly that. Sandpaper letters let a child feel the shape of a letter before writing it. The moveable alphabet lets them build a word before they can hold a pencil well enough to write it. Practical life work builds the hand strength and focus that writing quietly depends on.

So the individualized lesson teaches, and the prepared environment reinforces it all day long, in the child's hands.
